OK. I am way overdue for an update here... Gretchen is now just over 14 months old and the clock is ticking faster and faster on when the new baby Billo is to arrive. As of today, I've got just less than 4 weeks to go before my due date, and to say that I'm "livin' large" would be an understatement. Just this past weekend James and I took a long beach weekend away just the two of us and it donned on me that everyone was looking at me like I should be in a hospital bed instead of walking on the boardwalk. A few brave souls dared to ask me when I was due and I guess I look like I could pop any minute.
As far as our sweet Gretchen goes, she goes and goes and goes!! She is funny and smart and cute and just all the joy that we can stand most of the time. She understands more than we know, I am sure, and can say lots of words and communicates her needs (and her demands!) very effectively.
She has been sleeping in her crib in Molly & Shannon's room for several months now and does great in the "big girl room." She has been walking since she was almost a year old and can run from me quite well when she wants to. The only issue we've had with her at all is that she gets car-sick sometimes. It doesn't seem to bother her in the least, but it certainly isn't fun for me to have to hose down and scrub the carseat and truck when it happens unexpectedly. We really can't pin it down to a certain food, or timing after she eats or anything. It just happens when we least expect it.
We're getting really excited waiting on Aaron James, as most of you know we have chosen his name. No signs so far that he'll come early - my babies are usually on time, so I'll just wait here patiently till at least September 9th.

She's here! We had her at home (naturally) on June 3, 2008. 4:25pm. She weighed 8 pounds, 6 oz (beat Molly by 1/2 oz!)and was 20" long. We are thrilled and she is perfect. Thank you for your prayers for us!
