After two LONG years of waiting it finally happened! The beginning of the year was pretty crazy with Justin’s academy starting, so we really didn’t expect to get pregnant for a couple of months. But we were so motivated and weren’t going to let anything slow us down- not even Justin being gone from 6am to 6pm! So with careful planning, a great doctor, and lots of support from friends and family, we did it! We just didn’t realize what we would be getting ourselves into...
Of course it was Auntie Tori who convinced me to take the first test- almost 5 days early! I had wanted to take one so bad, but just couldn’t bear the thought of another negative! And wouldn't you know it? Talk about a bright pink line, there was no close examination needed! Then of course when 5 more tests throughout the week got darker and darker by the day, I finally believed it. We went to the doctor that Friday for blood work and the nurse couldn't believe that I already had positive tests. The phone call later that day with the test results usually left me in tears, but not this time! I think I was speechless- and that’s a first! My levels were though the roof, meaning there was most likely more than one baby.....

5 Months Old!!

11 week ultrasound

No morning sickness, ever. Well, I got queasy a couple times, but nothing too bad. My pants were tight almost right away and I wasn't ready for that- good thing I have lots of stretchy pants! Really no food aversions, just anything that smells bad! Tomatoes aren't looking very good, but that's about it. Those jalapeno stuffed green olives that I bought for Justin's martinis are the best things ever- I ate the whole jar in a week! That could have explained the heartburn.... My favorites have been orange juice, bagels with cream cheese, french fries, fruit smoothies (at least that's healthy!), turkey avo sandwiches, and anything Justin cooks! You name it, I eat it. Have to fatten up the kids, we don't want scrawny babies!
