*** What a BIG boy ***
Kalob Jonathon-Eric
The Head Chef
*** Kalob is now 21 weeks old. Time is sure going fast! He is around 17 pounds and is in the top 75-90th % for his height, weight and head circumference. He is doing very well in the growing department.
*** We have had our ups and downs with Kalob. He has been colic since birth, so nightly screaming for a few hours is nothing new to us. It has been an struggle especially for Mom cause Jacob was such an easy little baby...never cried and was always happy. We have changed his formula many times now and I stopped breastfeeding at 13 weeks because he has been so easily irritated. He is now on a Similac formula called DigestEase...seems to be working well for him.
*** Kalob was in the pattern of waking up every 45-60 minutes all through the night...which was making him and I moody! He was wanting to be hugged and fed all night long. As much as I love doing those things with him...I needed sleep!
*** Then 2 nights ago, I brought him into bed with me...and he only woke up 2 times in a 10 hour period!!! He has been falling asleep on his own without screaming for hours and hours...then last night he did it again! He drank 1 bottle in the night, but didn't open his eyes the entire time. I changed him and then he went back to sleep for about 4 more hours! Going from no sleep to some sleep is great! I am getting the energy I need for the gym, the family and just to keep my sanity!

*** So hopefully Kalob decides to stay such a great little baby...they say colic lifts at around 5 months...and he will be 5 months next week!!! He is a beautiful baby, he's happy most of the time, loves his brother, mom and dad...and ofcourse everyone else...he smiles all the time lately and is starting to laugh a lot more and make some sounds...such as MAMA!!!!! I love it!
*** As for the rest of the household...well we are keeping very busy. Scott (dad) is working hard and will be in a crane within 3 weeks by the sounds of things...and it will likely be in saskatoon! Jacob is graduating preschool in 2 weeks, so he's been prepping for that at school. He is also playing soccer which I (mom) am coaching...we are the Dragons...It's a good time, he's starting to get more involved every game. Mom has also started her education in becoming a realtor. I am planning on completing the course by January with luck...and be on my way to a new and very much needed career! Oh ya...and we're prepping for our wedding which is in 4.5 months!!! Time is flying, but we are getting close to being all ready for the big day!
*** Other than that, we are keeping plenty busy and are planning on enjoying a nice summer ahead!
********** Kalob is an amazing little boy and we are definately blessed to have him with us.*********
